What issues should be paid attention to when using laser welding machines?

Laser welding equipment is a pulsed laser with a wavelength of 1080nm generated by the application of a laser, which is then expanded, reflected, and focused to radiate the surface of the workpiece. The surface heat is guided through heat transfer and diffused internally. By digitizing and accurately controlling parameters such as the width, energy, peak power, and recombination frequency of the laser pulse, the workpiece is melted to form a specific molten pool, thereby achieving laser welding of the workpiece, Complete precision welding that traditional processes cannot achieve.

Laser welding is mainly aimed at the welding of thin-walled materials and precision parts, which can achieve spot welding, butt welding, overlap welding, seal welding, etc. It has a high aspect ratio, small weld width, small heat affected zone, small deformation, fast welding speed, flat and beautiful weld seam, and no need for treatment after welding. Precise control, small focusing point, high positioning accuracy, and easy to achieve automation.

So, what issues should be paid attention to when using laser welding machines?

Today, the editor will talk to you about the precautions that need to be taken during the operation of laser welding machines. I sincerely hope it can be helpful to everyone.

1. Pay attention to dust prevention in the appearance of the equipment host and welding head.

2. Do not stack debris on both sides of the water machine and maintain a 1-meter space to ensure ventilation and cooling.

3. During the morning shift every day, check the protective lenses of the welding head first, and then turn on the machine for air conditioning.

(Pull out the protective mirror drawer halfway during inspection to see the middle position of the lens.)

4. If there is an energy weakening phenomenon during the welding process, the machine should be stopped immediately and the protective lenses should be inspected. The inspection method is the same as above. If there are black burning spots, replace them promptly.

5. Precautions when replacing protective lenses

① Turn off all air blowing and blowing equipment near the welding head first. Reduce air flow.

② Wipe the perimeter of the protective mirror drawer clean with a dust-free cloth dipped in alcohol or acetone.

③ After removing the protective mirror drawer, the window of the protective mirror drawer should be immediately sealed with masking paper to prevent dust from entering the welding head.

④ When replacing protective lenses, do not touch the surface of the lens and pinch the side of the lens.

⑤ After replacing the lenses, use a balloon to blow off the surface dust.

⑥ Remove the sealing paper and replace the protective mirror drawer in the correct direction.

6. Welding should minimize welding smoke and dust as much as possible. If there is too much smoke and dust, a dust extractor should be equipped to remove the smoke and dust.

The above is the safety operation specifications for laser equipment compiled by the editor. In order to ensure your personal safety and extend the service life of the equipment, please be familiar with the above safety operations. If you have any questions, please contact Shuangcheng Laser. Only by strictly following the specifications can we better improve production efficiency.
